Ban Hijab Now!
This time, not in Afghanistan or Iran or Pakistan but in the Canadian city of Toronto, a sixteen year old girl has become a victim of religious prejudice, veil, political Islam, and the compromise with it of the Western governments. This time, the killer is the father who kept pressurizing the neck of his daughter Aghsi until the very last minute of her life.
We are all responsible for it.
How long are we going to witness thousands of women and children become victims of stoning to death, mutilation, burning, self-burning, and getting thrown off balconies? For how long are we going to remain accustomed to this violence that has captured us and our society?
Aghsi's father Mohammad immigrated to Canada, a country that is projected as a cradle of civilization, and as one of the best countries in the world! With all his Islamic religious beliefs, he moved to a society where parents are allowed to enforce their religion and beliefs on their children; where aggression against the most primitive and obvious children's right is justified and supported under the umbrella of multiculturalism; where religious schools are not only legal but also financially supported; where government and the law spends our tax money over building mosques and setting up religious institutions.
In 2003, if it was not for our resistance and the support of secular people, Sharia Court would have been set up in Ontario to stage the Muslim slaughter of civil rights of those women and children who have escaped from Islamic violence in their countries; and, who have equal rights with their fellow human-beings.
It is not accidental that we do not see the protection of children's rights in order to create environment and conditions free from physical and emotional abuse. On the contrary, the government supports the murderers and criminals, and those who drown their little daughters bit by bit, burn them little by little.
Who is responsible for all these tragedies?
Before blaming anything or anybody, we should demand legal justification from the Government of Canada for compromising with political Islam, and for being responsible for putting veils on our children.
It is not enough to make Aghsi's father Mohammad sit in the chair of the accused alone. We should also put in the chair of the accused, those legislators that give financial and moral support to Islamic schools; who compromise the safety of children under the age of sixteen by leaving them helpless against religious aggression and interference. The prime responsibility for this crime in the best country in the world, is not only Mohammad and his Islam but the government who supports the murderers and not the victims.
Children do not have any religion; and parents do not own the souls and bodies of their children. They are little human-beings to whom society is obligated to provide comfort, a sense of well-being by providing healthy and secure environments for education and growth.
As well, you and I, and all the citizens who do not raise their voices against such incidents, are responsible. We must all loudly demand to 'Prohibit Children's Veil', 'Prohibit Religious Schools' and 'Prohibit Religious Propaganda in any educational environment'. In addition, we must assure that the Canadian Government takes the victim's side. This would be the first step to save and to guarantee the safety of innocents like Aghsi.
To end such tragic events, there is no way other than practical fulfillment of all the above that requires involvement and the effort of all humans who can not witness victimization of the children of our society.
I invite you all to protest against such practices.
